Define operational activities to archive effective and efficient supply chain management which leading to success factors for supply chain strategy, including:
• Discuss some of important factors which generate successful S&OP including the integration of demand and supply planning; finance and operations; volume mix plans; and S&OP on actual demand instead of scheduling
• Understand logistics service products, market, and principles of logistic management; also, method of developing the logistic strategies for a given service firm for fixing problems of intangible characteristics of logistic service and satisfying its customers
• Examine the role of the warehouse in today’s economy and its likely place within future supply chains.; and understand how a distribution network can be organized and managed effectively in a constantly changing business environment
• Understand the concept Production and different Manufacturing environment in supply chain; and discuss the important roles of transformation from S&OP results to difference phases of Manufacturing Planning and Production Activity Control (PAC).
• Discuss why integration is important and the role that supply management plays in internal and external integration through the process of procurement.
• Understand the role of different transportation modes in supply chain; also, the relation of international transportation of global supply chain and the value chain of product; and discuss the methods of plan routing and scheduling of deliveries in transportation networks.
