ICC Customs and Trade Facilitation Commission Meeting

As the World Customs Organization continues to move forward on a number of strategic priorities impacting how businesses trade, ICC is convening its members in Ho Chi Minh City to ensure the voice of business continues to be heard. The Commission meeting will bring together important stakeholders from the international and Asia-Pacific business community, and provide an opportunity for global business and organisations to meet and discuss how best to voice business perspectives and identify opportunities for smoother cross-border trade flows.

Building on ICC’s global network and influence, the Commission meeting will scope priorities and shape ICC’s engagement in a number of important international and regional policy forums, including the World Customs Organization (WCO), World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The Commission meeting will be followed by a Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation (GATF) Spotlight session on the Vietnam Project. This session will shine the spotlight on the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation’s ongoing project to introduce a customs bond system for the conditional release of goods in Vietnam through public-private collaboration.
