PART 1: CARGO INTRODUCTORY

– Guide clients on the IATA rules and procedures for air freight shipments

– Arrange air cargo shipments in accordance with IATA rules and procedures

– Apply published rates and charges for air cargo shipments

– Complete air waybills accurately & Prepare shipments ready for carriage

PART 2: DANGEROUS GOODS REGULATIONS

– Apply the IATA Cargo Dangerous Goods Regulations correctly.
– Identify the nine classes DGs & potential hidden hazards in cargo
– Recognize and identify dangerous goods packages by labels.
– Understand limitations in transporting DGs & Recognize the documentation used for the transport of dangerous goods.
– Understand regulations for storage and loading Dangerous Goods Packages.
– Apply relevant emergency procedures for dangerous goods.

PART 3: CARGO SECURITY AND SAFETY

– Understand what safety and security means in cargo transportation & supply chain operations

– Be aware of the security programs that have been established in different countries

– Acquire typical technologies and applications along supply chains’ links and nodes

PART 4: SALES FOCUS ON AIR FREIGHT INDUSTRY

– To gain overall knowledge about Vietnam Air Freight Industry and Market
– To acknowledge about the function of marketing and related needed terminologies as well as the application of marketing in Logistics, especially in Cargo Marketing
– To accomplish the Sales technique in Logistics Services in a big picture for the whole industry as well as focus on Customer Services in Air Freight Forwarding

Certification: Certificate of completion of the course “Air Freight Operations” issued by VILAS.

* Participants may continue to study the remaining four modules of the VILAS Diploma in Logistics Services Management to obtain VILAS Diploma and FIATA certification – the standard of a Professional International Freight Forwarding of the Federation of Freight Forwarders International Transportation FIATA (www.fiata.com), valued Internationally and indefinitely.
